The art exhibition facing the ecological emergency "Surface de réparation" will be held from November 5 to 16, 2025 in Pantin, where the École des Arts Décoratifs – PSL and DECATHLON open a window onto three years of research and creation conducted in a context of ecological emergency. Magasin Généraux,
located in the iconic venue of Magasins Généraux, this exhibition questions: what if design stopped being a race toward the new to reinvent itself as a terrain of repair, diversion, and renewal?

The Exhibition Concept

The exhibition is built around four sections:

• “Surveying Practices”
• “Performing Matter”
• “Habiting the Sun”
• “Winning Cooperation”
  And a fifth section, “Probable Futures”, which presents prospective explorations from DECATHLON's Advanced Innovation division.
  The scenography is eco-designed by the ARTER agency, which is itself committed to responsible production principles.
  In the background: a radical reading of design as a reparative act, an active material, and a form of engagement rather than a mere consumer object.

In a world where everything moves fast, the exhibition "Surface de réparation" offers a pause — a time for reflection, creation, and an encounter between design and ecology.
