See you in January for the first edition of the year. This time, the trade show is not talking about algorithms or data: it places the artisan’s hand back at the center. On the agenda for the Craftsmanship cycle: noble materials, artisanal gestures, creation, responsible sourcing, and autumn-winter 2027-2028 trends.

« Craftsmanship is not a frozen heritage, it is a living material. Première Vision Paris brings together those who transmit it and those who reinvent it. » — Organizers of Première Vision Paris

Première Vision Paris is the premier international trade show for fashion professionals. The January 2027 edition will be held from January 26 to 28, 2027 at the Parc des Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte. It brings together nearly 1,000 exhibitors and visitors from over 120 countries across nine universes covering the entire fashion value chain. For three days, manufacturers, designers, buyers, and suppliers come to source materials and expertise for future collections.

The show now operates on two annual editions with two distinct angles. January celebrates craftsmanship and creation; September focuses on innovation and technology. This January edition prepares the autumn-winter 2027-2028 collections.

Exhibitors are divided into 9 complementary universes:

  • Fabrics
  • Leathers
  • Accessories
  • Yarns
  • Designs
  • Manufacturing
  • Smart Creation
  • Bags, Shoes & Leather Goods
  • Maison d’Exceptions

This organization allows visitors to journey from raw materials to the rarest skills, gathered in the Maison d’Exceptions space, a showcase for art workshops and haute couture techniques.

Craftsmanship: The Red Thread of the January Edition

Where September looks toward the machine, January looks toward the hand. This edition highlights the arts and crafts, embroidery, weaving, dyeing, leatherworking, and all the techniques that give a garment its value even before it is sketched.

The stake is not merely patrimonial. Faced with a demand turning toward enduring pieces, craftsmanship is once again becoming a commercial argument. Buyers come looking for materials and finishes that mass production cannot reproduce, and workshops come to prove they can keep pace without sacrificing quality.

The Maison d’Exceptions space brings together manufacturers and artisans capable of meeting the demands of haute couture and luxury. Embroidery, featherwork, pleating, lace, working with precious materials: this is the beating heart of the January edition, the one that attracts the artistic directions of major houses.

Spotlight on India: The Territories of Craftsmanship

For several editions, the show has rolled out its « Territories of Craftsmanship » platform, highlighting a national creative heritage. Following France, Japan, and Portugal, the January 2027 edition dedicates its chapter to India, in partnership with the Embassy of India in France and the Indian Ministry of Textiles. The common thread: the art of the hand, techniques that the country has cultivated for centuries (embroidery, dyeing, weaving). A focus that arrives right as fashion houses are seeking rare and traceable craftsmanship.

Sustainable Materials and Responsible Sourcing

Environmental issues run through the entire show. Recycled materials, bio-sourced fibers, supply chain traceability, footprint reduction: exhibitors must now document the origin and impact of what they present.

For brands, this is no longer an added soul but a condition for market access. European regulations are tightening on environmental labeling, and responsible sourcing is becoming a prerequisite rather than a marketing pitch. The show acts as a barometer: what is seen on the stands in January ends up in boutiques two seasons later.

Conferences and Meetings

The January program gives pride of place to exchanges around creation and transmission. Meetings with artistic directors, roundtable discussions on the future of art professions, presentations of the autumn-winter 2027-2028 trend books: highlights follow one another over the three days. The trend forum, a mandatory passage point, condenses the color and material directions that upcoming collections will follow.

What to Remember for the Season

For a designer, buyer, or brand, the January edition is especially valuable for what it reveals upstream: the materials that will rise, the workshops that matter, the gestures that are returning. Anticipating a season means coming to see in January what the general public will discover and wear in autumn-winter 2027-2028.
